Family Support Worker

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Development of goal-focused activities
• Facilitate outings in the community
• Behavior Management
• General support in the foster home as needed

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Child and Youth Work or related Social Service Diploma or Degree
• Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
• Knowledge of FASD, ODD, Autism, ADHD, Anxiety Disorders and other diagnoses is beneficial

Requirements:

• Current Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Welfare Record Check
• Training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention
• Training in First Aid and CPR
• Driver’s Abstract, ‘G’ Class Driver’s License and Insured Vehicle
