As our Financial Controller, you will spearhead a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements. Your expertise will extend to supporting the CFO with Treasury and tax compliance matters, contributing significantly to the overall financial health of the company.

Core Responsibilities:
- Lead, Coach and Mentor direct reports, ensuring smooth operations of the accounting department and maintaining synergistic relationships with all other departments.
- Ensure all transactional aspects of Banking, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and inventory are completed daily
- Ensure all manufacturing related transactions are completed and posted to the GL accurately with proper cut off procedures at month ends.
- Document, monitor and update accounting policies
- Review quarterly and annual budgets for all departments
- Analyze costs and profits
- Track financial KPIs
- Create ad-hoc reports as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date online filing systems
- Perform internal audits of processes and transactions and assist with external audits
- Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations
Preferred skills and qualifications:
- CPA (USA) or CPA (Canada)
- A minimum of 3 years of Work experience as a Financial Controller in a medium to large sized manufacturing organization (US$ 20 million and over in revenues)
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and legislation
- Hands-on experience with payroll, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and month end close functions
- Experience with daily cash management
- Expert knowledge of NetSuite or similar ERP systems
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
