We're hiring a full-time Financial Controller who can oversee accounting activities, ensuring accurate company fund records for our client which is a dynamic, vibrant, and expanding team based in Chilliwack.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Oversee full-cycle accounting functions.
- Lead finance team and manage financial reporting.
- Prepare internal financial statements.
- Handle statutory reporting for taxes.
- Prepare financial statements for external accountant review.
- Present detailed financial performance against budgets and key metrics.
- Deliver monthly Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash flow reports, etc.
- Maintain updated financial budgets, including CAP EX projects.
- Integral member of the Management Team, reporting to senior management.
- Attend Monthly Management Meetings.
- Directly report to the CEO.
- Develop operating budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness and agility.
- Manage project finance options (leasing, hire purchase, corporate finance).
- Liaise with the CEO, Accounting Manager, and President for financial insights.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and integration of financial data and processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration with demonstrated work experience
- Experience in Financial Control or Product Control
- Openness to learning the business and collaborative work with senior management to establish shared priorities
- Minimum of 3 years overseeing complete business operations financially
- Proficiency in managing complex multi-entity, multi-instrument transactions
- Independent analytical capabilities
- Logical and proactive problem-solving approach, breaking down issues, assessing options, and proposing solutions
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with acute attention to detail
- Maintaining a high level of accuracy and precision in all tasks
- Efficient task identification and prioritization on a daily basis
- Proactive initiative-taking, especially on challenging assignments
- Upholding confidentiality regarding highly sensitive information.
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday.
- Annual salary ranging from $85,000 to $95,000, commensurate with experience, skills, and contributions to the team.
