Job Summary:
Reporting to the Fleet & Inventory Manager, the Fleet & Inventory Coordinator/Labourer provides materials and equipment management functions in a fast-paced environment due diligently –shipping and receiving, operating lifting devices, regular cycle counts, storage/warehousing and timely distribution of materials & equipment required for the Operations department. The Fleet & Inventory Coordinator/Labourer needs to report and, work under the supervision of the Fleet & Inventory Manager, or designates assigned, and handles logistics, inventory, vehicle and equipment management functions in a processed and ethical way for Accurate Railroad Construction Ltd.
Key Accountabilities:
· Logistics, Equipment, Materials & Inventory control functions for yard, shop and field needs.
· Receiving of goods, Packing Slips & Shipment coordination. Processing of Commercial Invoices for international shipments and Bills of Lading.
· Perform cycle counts on all inventories as mandated.
· Update and monitor systems for asset tracking. Develop reports on maintenance intervals and update the systems when required.
· Regular submittal of inventory counts to the Fleet & Inventory Manager.
· Sources and identifies parts requests from the field or shop.
· Performs other unplanned duties/activities as assigned by the Fleet & Inventory Manager.
Qualification and Experience:
· Completion of Grade 12.
· A minimum of two (2) years of recent related experience including warehouse, equipment management, logistics and responsible inventory and asset control.
· Knowledge and experience in safe operation of materials lifting equipment such as Counterbalance forklift and speedswing.
· Proficiency with Microsoft office including Outlook, Word & Excel.
· Proficiency in inventory and asset management systems such as Maestro Garage, Geotab, Microsoft Access, etc.
· Strong interpersonal and English communication (written and verbal) skills.
· Valid and clean Ontario driver’s license, class G.
Working Conditions
· Available for Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 17:00 shifts with overtime as needed.
· Work primarily in a shop or yard environment with occasional site visits as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
