THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Logistics and Inventory Coordinator is responsible for overseeing both the Logistics and Inventory management processes within our manufacturing plant and will collaborate across various departments to ensure the efficient flow of materials and products throughout the supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate the transportation of customer orders, adhering to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Facilitate the shipping of orders on behalf of customers while ensuring exceptional service throughout the order processing flow
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all incoming and outgoing materials
- Regularly conduct physical counts of inventory to reconcile discrepancies and ensure accuracy
- Implement and oversee inventory control procedures to minimize losses and enhance overall efficiency

- Collaborate with production and procurement teams to fulfill material requirements for customer orders
- Ensure that materials are available in the right quantities and at the right time to meet production schedules
- Develop and maintain relationships with freight partners to achieve ongoing cost savings goals (3% annualized savings on freight costs)
- Continuously identify and recommend ways to apply lean manufacturing methodologies to enhance logistics processes
Tayco is seeking passionate candidates who possess the following experience and competencies:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics/freight/inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing/warehousing environment
- Must be available to work onsite 5 days a week.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience using ERP systems, or logistics/inventory management software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Proven experience negotiating preferred rates and providing excellent customer service
