Food Runner/Busser

We’ve added some terrific people to our team and we’re looking to do it again! Bluebird Cafe and Grill is looking to add a member a part time Junior Server/Runner family member.

This person must be available available part time moving forward in September Tuesday-Saturday. He/she must be able to work independently and also as part of a team. The server assistant's responsibilities include preparing and refilling beverages, assisting servers with processing payments,removing dirty dishes, and sanitizing restaurant menus, Picking up food orders in the kitchen as instructed by the chefs in providing a smooth operation at the highest standard of service. To maintain a professional, clean, neat and tidy personal appearance. Setting up and cleaning the restaurants as assigned. Performing additional duties as assigned. You should also be able to perform end-of-day clean-up duties. Must be motivated, hardworking and have an incredible ability to multi-task. Hospitality and customer service driven and skilled is a must with a positive, upbeat attitude!

• This position will be permanent NOT a seasonal position (MUST BE AVAILABLE IN SEPTEMBER)
• NO SUNDAYS OR MONDAYS
• Smartserve certification
• Legal age to serve alcohol

Responsibilities:
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate tables in a timely manner
- Assist in setting up and clearing tables as needed
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure accurate and efficient order delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any customer inquiries or concerns promptly
- Assist in other areas of food service as needed

Skills:
- Previous experience in the food industry or a similar customer service role is preferred
- Strong ability to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Knowledge of basic kitchen operations and food handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong hospitality skills with a friendly and positive attitude
