Front of House Staff

CHAU Veggie is an award-winning plant-based modern Vietnamese restaurant, located in East Vancouver and inside the Granville Island Public Market. Our quick-service restaurant combines traditional Vietnamese flavours with fresh produce, taking initiative in food security, sustainability, consciousness, and education - one veggie meal at a time.

We are looking for passionate, fun and hardworking people to join our team at Chau Veggie who want to join a supportive and rewarding work environment. This is a permanent full-time position starting predominantly at our Granville Island location followed by training and supplemental shifts at our Victoria Drive location as and when required.

CHAU Veggie a rapidly growing business tapping into multiple sectors of hospitality including food service, catering and retail. We are always looking for people with leadership qualities and specialized skills to help propel us forward. Whilst not required for this role, if you are eager to progress into a leadership or specialized role, please let us know!

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Time Management; you are able to efficiently manage and prioritize all of your responsibilities.
• Eagerness to learn, take on new tasks and grow with the business.
• Strong menu knowledge, have the ability to answer customer questions.
• Greet customers in a professional, friendly and fun manner. You are a hardworking and responsible individual with charisma and strong customer service skills.
• Work independently on a section and collaboratively with team members.
• Make drinks, pack food orders, prep retail items.
• Use Square POS to take orders and handle card, over the phone and cash transactions.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and cleanliness.
• Able to take on various tasks outside of this job description, within the scope of a server role.

Salary: $16.75-$18.00 per hour
