The Store Assistant will be responsible for serving customers. Is also responsible for supporting the Senior Baker and ensuring that the store front and the kitchen are clean and tidy. They will be responsible for preparing, slicing and bagging breads for delivery orders and wholesales orders. The Bakery Assistant will report directly to the Owner and will complete tasks that include, but are not limited to:
* Greeting customers and taking orders
* Ensuring that customers’ orders are accurate and prepared in a timely manner
* Preparing and serving coffee and other beverages
* Assembling and serving prepared food (sandwiches and bagels)
* Operate the cash register.
* Making sure display baskets/cases are replenished in a timely manner.
* Monitoring stock level of ingredients and products for resale and report to the Baker as part of supply management
* Cleaning and maintaining the store front and baking workspace clean and tidy on a daily basis.
* Providing support to the Bakers
Ensure safety and sanitation practices in the baking workspace and store front.
The candidate must have prior experience in a similar setting.
Must be able to work standing for the duration of the shift.
Ability to follow recipes.
Detailed-oriented and passionate about product quality
Good organizational skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Ability to utilize a POS software
Food Handling Certification preferred

Work 6 days a week (9am to 3pm)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $16.55-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
