General Manager

The Karwal Group is currently searching for a dynamic, outgoing and ambitious General Manager with a passion for customer service to lead our newly renovated Travelodge Suites By Wyndham hotel in Saint John, NB.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance departments
- Provide leadership and guidance to all staff members, ensuring a positive and productive work environment
- Develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and increase revenue
- Monitor and manage budgets, expenses, and financial performance
- Conduct regular meetings with department heads to review performance and address any issues or concerns
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all areas of the hotel
- Handle guest complaints and resolve any issues in a timely manner
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and maintenance throughout the hotel
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve operations

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the hotel industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training staff members
- Familiarity with Opera Property Management Systems is a plus
