We are currently experiencing a period of steady growth and are looking to add a talented leader to our growing company in the role of GENERAL MANAGER, based in Saint John, NB.

The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategic plans to drive the company's growth and maintain its position as an industry leader.
Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring the efficient utilization of our diverse fleet and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Financial Management: Drive financial performance through effective management of P&L, budgeting, cost control, and revenue generation.
Team Leadership: Inspire and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement in a unionized environment.
Client Relationship Management: Cultivate, grow and strengthen client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and uphold the highest standards of safety across all operations.
Your qualifications ideally include:
· Proven experience in a leadership role within the heavy lift and specialized transport industry preferred.
· A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field with a professional designation. An MBA is considered a strong asset.
· Minimum five (5) years of experience leading an operation.
· Commercial experience with large industrial customers.
· Union experience considered an asset.
· Demonstrated experience improving processes to drive practical business outcomes.
· Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of managing financial requirements, deadlines, and priorities.
· Building and fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders, internal and external.
· Demonstrated ability to spot exceptional talent and nurture the growth of the next generation of leaders for the company.
