POSITION SUMMARY
As an ambassador and representative of The Sundial Hotel Whistler the Guest Service Representative will address all needs of our guests and owners to exceed expectations at each interaction. The Guest Services Representative performs Reservations, Front Desk, Concierge, Valet and any other duties as required.
Your responsibility is more global than your job description – you will be trained in every relevant area of the company operations and can expect to work in all roles in any department as required to provide seamless exceptional service.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Satisfaction
Connects with the guest:
- Ensures a warm, upbeat and courteous greeting to all guests
- Provides an informative and personable approach with all reservations inquiries and answers all incoming calls and emails in a prompt manner
Assists the guest:
- Provides knowledge of Carleton Lodge and Sundial Hotel's suites, layout and facilities
- Gives directions, offers luggage assistance, assists with the arrangement of transportation and offers assistance to all guests in making reservations for activities and restaurants.
Exceeds guest’s expectation:
- Ensures continued guest satisfaction through proactive communication with guests to ensure their needs are met
- Advises Guest Service Supervisor of guest complaints and reports concerns and/or feedback for follow up
Operations
Efficiency
- Communicates and follows up on information consistently with other departments and team members
- Performs any other departmental duties that may be required from time to time
- Process all partner reservations received within 1 hour
Safety
- Ensures a clean and safe working environment with full understanding of emergency procedures
- Ensures lobby is tidy, no obstacles, loose cords, ice on steps
Administration
- Review reservation notes accurately and be pro-active in preparing guest requests
- Accurately posts room charges, pre-AUTH's and payments
- Adheres to all arrival and departure hotel polices
Job Requirements
- Enthusiasm and desire to exceed expectations of guests and owners at all times
- Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills and attention to detail
- Experience in hotel or customer service-based role is beneficial but not required
