Overview: Confederation Place Hotel is seeking Guest Services Agents to enrich the experiences of our guests in Kingston. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional clerical skills while embodying the role of an ambassador for our establishment, nestled in the scenic historic Downtown Kingston. As the primary point of contact for guests, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring their visit is both memorable and deserving of return trips. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet guests upon their arrival with warmth and professionalism.
- Ensure guest satisfaction and optimize revenue by efficiently managing check-ins, check-outs, and coordinating hotel services.
- Alert supervisors and managers to any unusual occurrences or guest requests promptly.
- Process guest check-outs and payments following established policies.
- Provide accurate information about hotel amenities, room options, rates, and packages, assisting guests with reservations.
- Respond promptly to guest requests, promoting hotel facilities and services, and providing information about local attractions to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Address guest complaints to their satisfaction and report significant issues to managers or supervisors.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the designated uniform policy at all times.
- Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure a positive guest experience and uphold the safety of guests and staff.
- Perform any additional tasks as required to support hotel operations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or relevant qualification.
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
- Previous Front Desk experience preferred.
- Bi-lingual French/English (considered a strong asset).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a multicultural environment with co-workers, managers, and guests.
- Capable of exerting light physical effort, including prolonged periods of standing and sitting; occasional medium effort may be required for moving equipment, tables, and guest luggage.
