Summary:
Hockley Valley is constantly growing and is looking for an experienced Front Desk Agent to join the team. The Front Desk Agent will be responsible for greeting and registering guests, providing outstanding guest service during their stay, and settling the guest's account upon completion of their stay. The Front Desk Agent must possess a positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service to our guests. The Front Desk Agent must have the ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and be able to problem solve in order to effectively deal with internal and external customers.
Job Duties:
- Greets guests and answer any questions or inquiries from guests
- Performs check-ins and checkouts
- Issues room keys, pamphlets & discount cards
- Processes gift cards
- Handles all guest requests in an expedient and professional manner
- Operates phone lines & direct calls accordingly
- Responsible for cash flow
- Collects payment and issues invoices
- Ensures front desk is stocked with any items guests may require
- Arranges wake-up calls
- Completes welcome calls
- Maintains cleanliness of the workspace
- Reports any accident or injuries to senior management
- Provides information to staff and/or clients about special activities
- Observes and reports any security issues to the Resort Manager
- Administers and manages, packages, courier services, and other correspondence.
- Performs other duties as required
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, G.E.D. or Hospitality Diploma is an asset
- (1) year of experience as a Front Desk Agent or customer service oriented role
- Previous hospitality experience is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Experience in all aspects of customer service and people management
- Strong working knowledge of hospitality industry principles, methods, practices, and techniques
- Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required
- Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills
- Able to work well under pressure in a past pace environment
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Work Conditions:
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Overtime as required
- Standing for long periods of time
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends & holidays
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $17.55 per hour
