We are looking for a friendly and experienced candidate with previous hotel experience to join us as a Hotel Guest Service Agent for our Hotel, Motel 6 London.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Greet and welcome guests and ensure their needs are met in a timely manner
- Check-in and assign rooms to arriving guests
- Manage and process, cancel, and change room reservations
- Respond promptly to guest concerns with patience and professionalism and ensure they are addressed in a satisfactory manner
- Manage and process payments and balance cash
- Document in the Front Desk logbook any issues that need to be communicated to the staff for the next shift, and escalate to the Hotel Manager as needed.
- Answer phone calls and direct to others as required
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance
- Perform clerical duties as required
- Support the Supervisor with any other required tasks in a timely manner
- Being flexible with scheduling
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficient in using phone systems and computer software
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Candidate must have at least 2 years of hotel experience, as well as completed or working towards a certificate or college diploma in Hotel Management. Please note that candidates without the required qualifications will not be considered.
