MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Health and Safety Representative provides support to the Health and Safety team in areas such as Health and Safety promotion, statistics, projects, and assisting with departmental tasks as necessary.
The Health and Safety Representative will:
- Develop, print and distribute information material such as handouts and posters
- Provide support with procuring supplies and promotional material
- Format documents such as policies, procedures and forms
- Do statistical analysis by running reports
- Provide assistance and support for department projects as needed
- Log training records
- Organize files and clean-up of documentation
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be registered for school in the Fall of 2024 and provide proof of attendance for the 2024-2025 school year
- Good work ethic, energetic and enthusiastic
- Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel and Adobe in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Interest in the field of Occupational Health and Safety/HR office practices, protocols, and procedures
- Understanding of confidentiality and is able to work with highly sensitive and confidential information
- Pays attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
