Emergency preparedness is a critical aspect of CCH operations. It is essential that all staff and physicians receive training and understand their roles and responsibilities in this field.
Summary of responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, Health Information Services, this position provides clerical support to the department by ensuring the efficient operation of the Health Information Services Department’s record management system.
Requirements of the job
- Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma
- Certificate in Medical Terminology (or tested with a pass mark of 75% or greater)
- Demonstrated computer skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Typing speed of 45 wpm
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate with professional and medical staff
- Ability to use good judgement
- Good interpersonal and organization skills and strong team orientation
- Demonstrated regular, punctual attendance
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety
- Functional level in English (oral and written)
