Canadian Sanitation is a growing Sanitation and septic specialist servicing the Midland, Orillia, Severn, Barrie & Innisfil areas. We are a young and energetic company looking to hire two new team members to join in the upcoming season. Our clients are typically repeat residential customers and commercial builders with whom we have developed a strong relationship with. The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of multiple pieces of construction equipment.
As the applicant, you are proficient in the use of a diverse range of construction equipment, including, Excavators, Loaders, Dozers, Rollers, Skid Steers and other pieces of equipment. Applicants must be able to operate equipment in tight spaces (residential) as well as large scale new construction projects. Project scope includes but is not limited to driveway installation and repair, septic installation and repair, new home construction, final grading and drainage, and other various residential and commercial projects. Canadian Sanitation operates in a team environment and all team members, including the owners, participate in all aspects of the job site. The applicant will be required to occasionally provide labor services that include but are not limited to laying septic pipe, shovelling, raking, wheel barrows and miscellaneous duties to get the job completed
Key Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Equipment Operator include, but are not limited to:
Equipment Operation
- Capable of operating multiple pieces of construction equipment used in underground construction, base preparation and construction, and grading.
- Operate all Heavy Equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Capable of loading aggregate material into dump trucks.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate and refill the equipment as necessary.
- Use various pieces of equipment to perform fine grading and finishing, sloping and banking, backfilling, demolition, ditching, loading, excavating and stockpiling.
- Operate equipment on public roadways, maintaining proper awareness of ones surroundings.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the equipment. Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of construction equipment.
- Other construction related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience operating Heavy Equipment
- Valid Drivers license and means of transportation
- AZ/DZ license is an asset but not required
- Good attitude

Salary: $24.00-$36.00 per hour
