Employment: Part-time.
Shifts & Hours: Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sundays, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Compensation: $25.00 per hour.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aide to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in their homes. As a Home Care Aide, you will play a vital role in helping clients maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Duties:
- Provide personal care services to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety
- Provide medication reminders and assistance with medication management.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving is a must (certification is preferred, but not limited).
- Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, and hospice care practices.
- Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid BC driver's license with reliable transportation to travel to client's homes.
