Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their tables and provide them with menus
- Assist in seating guests during peak dining hours
- Answer phone calls and take reservations
- Manage the waitlist and notify guests when their table is ready
- Provide excellent customer service and address any guest concerns or inquiries
- Collaborate with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain a clean and organized host/host station
Experience:
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role preferred
- Familiarity with restaurant or food service operations is a plus
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations with grace
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and staff
- Proficiency in using a POS (Point of Sale) system is desirable
