Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Seat guests and manage the seating chart to ensure efficient seating and wait times
- Answer phone calls and take reservations or provide information to callers
- Assist in setting up and clearing tables as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and dining area
- Assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Must be a team player and willing to help out in various areas of the restaurant as needed
- Knowledge of food service procedures is preferred
