Host/Hostess

We are seeking a friendly and outgoing Host/Host to join our team. As a Host/Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional hospitality and ensuring a positive dining experience. Your main responsibility will be to greet and seat guests, manage reservations, and assist in maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Must be able to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor
• Manage the flow of guests by coordinating seating arrangements
• Take and manage reservations using our POS system
• Provide accurate wait times and communicate any delays to guests
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and dining area
• Assist in answering phone calls and packing to-go orders
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional manner
• Uphold high standards of customer service and hospitality at all times

Skills:
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills:

• Strong hospitality skills with a genuine desire to provide exceptional guest service
• Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant setting is preferred
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members
• Proficient in using POS systems for managing reservations and seating arrangements
• Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations with ease
• Knowledge of food service procedures and basic food safety guidelines
• Strong phone etiquette skills for handling guest inquiries and taking orders
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $16.75-$17.40 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 12 per week
