We are seeking a friendly and outgoing Host/Host to join our team. As a Host/Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional hospitality and ensuring a positive dining experience. Your main responsibility will be to greet and seat guests, manage reservations, and assist in maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Must be able to work nights and weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Manage the flow of guests by coordinating seating arrangements
- Take and manage reservations using our POS system
- Provide accurate wait times and communicate any delays to guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and dining area
- Assist in answering phone calls and packing to-go orders
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional manner
- Uphold high standards of customer service and hospitality at all times
Skills:
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong hospitality skills with a genuine desire to provide exceptional guest service
- Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant setting is preferred
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members
- Proficient in using POS systems for managing reservations and seating arrangements
- Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations with ease
- Knowledge of food service procedures and basic food safety guidelines
- Strong phone etiquette skills for handling guest inquiries and taking orders
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
