The County Cider Co. has been specializing in authentic hard ciders since 1995, creating award-winning ciders carefully crafted from the very best apples grown on the family farm and nearby orchards. Made with love and 100% pure apple juice. The family farm overlooking the shores of Prince Edward Bay, in the heart of Prince Edward County, has been producing apples since 1850. This special apple orchard has a patio restaurant and tasting room on site offering guests a variety of ways to enjoy the award winning ciders.

The patio restaurant’s focal point since its inception has been the Wood-Fired Pizza Oven, serving up authentic Italian style pies for guests overlooking the stunning view. Each summer season the restaurant patio is open from May-October offering draft ciders, beer, cider cocktails, wood-fired pizza and new this year tacos in partnership with Al-Fresco!

At the County Cider Co. restaurant we strive to create an environment filled with people who take pride in what they're doing, enjoy a team environment, and have a willingness to learn. The Host position will be represented by an individual that brings enthusiasm and a great attitude to work everyday. You are the first person guests will see, it’s important to have a positive and welcoming attitude.

Responsibilities

● Maintain the flow of the restaurant

● Control the pace of seating to maximize efficiency

● Engage with all guests in a friendly way, helping FoH (Front of House) staff where required.

● Be supportive in a team environment.

● Maintaining the cleanliness of the patio tables with help from the servers. ● Assisting others with cleaning, stocking, general upkeep, etc.

Requirements and Skills

● Strong Interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment and with guests

● Strong communication skills that are used to develop a bonded team environment.

● Maintaining and managing inventory to ensure the bar is always stocked.

● Smart Serve certified

● Must be available weekends

● Hours can vary from 15-30 a week or just weekends.

● $16.5 / hour + tips
