Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant/hotel
- Escort guests to their tables and provide them with menus
- Assist guests with seating arrangements and special requests
- Answer phone calls and take reservations
- Manage the waitlist and notify guests when their table is ready
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
- Provide excellent guest service by addressing any concerns or issues
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or hotel setting
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members
- Knowledge of proper phone etiquette and ability to handle multiple calls simultaneously
- Familiarity with POS systems for managing reservations and seating arrangements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Excellent organizational skills to manage waitlists and seating assignments
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
