Host/Hostess

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive to the restaurant
• Escort guests to their tables or waiting areas
• Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials
• Take and manage reservations via the POS system
• Manage the waiting list and notify guests when their table is ready
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area
• Answer phone calls and provide information to guests
• Assist with seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of dining space
• Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operation

Skills:

• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and ability to handle stressful situations with composure
• Basic knowledge of POS systems and reservation management software is preferred
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
