We are looking for an Human Resources Business Partner to help grow our business and contribute to our future.  

The HR Business Partner serves as a first point of contact for assigned client groups to deliver strategic support, consultation, and customer service to meet identified needs in all areas of human resources practices, policies, procedures, and development. Based in Toronto, ON, this position will liaise between the corporate HR team, headquartered in Regina, Saskatchewan, and our Canadian subsidiary organizations to develop, deliver and facilitate corporate HR programs and policies.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position will:

  • Act as a key strategic Business Partner providing a broad range of HR services and support to client groups in order to support the business in achieving its objectives, providing leadership, advice, guidance and creative solutions with and for managers/directors on all HR related matters.

  • Partner with business leaders to understand the business, relevant business drivers, external/internal challenges and constraints, and external/internal metrics in order to identify HR priorities and develop strategic people solutions that help optimize business results.

  • Work with people leaders to coordinate and execute the annual performance management cycle, compensation planning cycle, full-cycle recruitment processes, organizational development and design as well as change management.

  • Provide guidance, advice and coaching to managers and directors on the consistent and fair application of HR policies and practices.

 

Develop and maintain sound business relationships with the senior leaders, managers and employees by providing guidance for decision making and offering proactive solutions.

What you’ll need:

  • A Degree in Business Administration, with a focus on HR or related field

  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience of directly related and progressively responsible experience. (An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered).

  • CHRP designation would be considered an asset.

  • Strong understanding of general human resource policies and procedures.

  • Strong conflict resolution, problem solving abilities, communication skills.

  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with all levels of the organization.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of a broad scope of human resources best practices and procedures (behavioural based interview, exit interviews, change management, duty to accommodate, progressive discipline, conflict resolution, job evaluation and performance management).

  • Understanding and knowledge of relevant Canadian Federal/Provincial legislation, internal HR policies and procedures.
