Human Resources Business Partner
 
Requisition Summary
PACCAR of Canada is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join the HR team in providing support to various business units. This position is part of a collaborative team and reports to the Canadian HR Director. Primary responsibilities are to provide HR support to Business Partners on a wide range of labour relations and human resources topics, including recruitment and talent management, training and development, engagement, retention, and overall HR and organizational effectiveness.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Recruitment and Talent Management:
-Leads annual goal setting, employee development/succession planning and performance appraisal process for Business Partners
-Manages staffing related activities including job description maintenance, market pay equity reviews and diversity planning.
-Administers new employee onboarding including orientation and announcement.  
  Training and Development:
-Organize and facilitate PACCARs compliance trainings for managers and employees.
-Manage and maintain training completion records are retained to meet internal and global regulatory requirements.
-Collaborates with HR peers to investigate, recommend and / or implement changes to the monitoring, follow-up and escalation processes and strategies which align to Mandatory training parameters.
  Engagement, Rewards and Retention:
-Serves as the location lead to drive local deployment of employee engagement activities, communication and partnering across teams to best serve the customer.
-Supports Leave Management programs of occupational or non-occupational illness/disability related absences in accordance with provincial labour laws. Supports the business with the development of return-to-work plans, accommodations, and injury/illness reporting.
-Administers the exit process including exit interviews. Provide summary and analysis of trends.
-Recommends employee development opportunities such as mentors, job shadow/job rotation and 360 evaluations.
  Organizational and HR Effectiveness:
-Acts as primary HR partner for various divisions and collaborates with respective HR teams in Canada and the United States on best practices.
-Builds positive Business Partner relationships. Participates in weekly business staff meetings, providing HR and business guidance.
-Partners with management to provide ongoing coaching in the areas of performance management, attendance, workplace investigations, and corrective actions.
-Participates in Six Sigma projects, Internal audits, and projects that support the human resources needs of PACCAR’s continuous improvement approach.
-Partners with management and legal to resolve labour relations issues. Ensures policies, procedures and regulatory compliance are adhered to.
-Participates in global HR continuous improvement initiatives. Leverages existing technology in new and creative ways.
-Develops reports and dashboards to communicate, measure and analyze human resources and business performance metrics.
-Other duties as assigned. 
Qualifications / Skills
-Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
-Minimum of 5 years of broad Human Resources generalist experience required.
-Ability to communicate in French is preferred.
-Strong understanding of applicable Human Resources legislation including the Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act, the Ontario Human Rights Code, Ontario Pay Equity Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, etc.
-Prior experience leading, coaching and monitoring business leaders on HR related topics.
-Strong team player with a positive attitude.
-Must be a creative and innovative problem-solver.
-Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and customer service orientation.
-Ability to work with employees and managers at all different levels of the organization.
-Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills, ability to independently handle complex issues with limited supervision, prioritize and meet deadlines.
-Professional with excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
-Professional Human Resources certification desired.
-Working knowledge with SAP and SharePoint beyond basic data entry preferred. HRIS and highly skilled with MS Office.

-Occasional travel is required throughout the geography of responsibility, including the production plant located in Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec.

Responsabilités
Recrutement et gestion de talent :
-Établir les objectifs annuels, développer un processus de développement des employés et planifier un plan de relève ainsi que l’évaluation du rendement des partenaires d’affaires.
-Gestion de la dotation, incluant la mise à jour des descriptions de poste, l’équité salariale et la planification de la diversité.
-Administrer l’intégration des nouveaux employés, y compris l’orientation et les nominations.
Formation et développement :
-Organiser et implémenter les formations sur la conformité de PACCAR pour les employés et les cadres.
-Gérer et tenir à jour les dossiers d’achèvement de la formation afin de répondre aux exigences internes de PACCAR et au niveau national.
-Collaborer avec les collègues aux ressources humaines afin d’enquêter, recommander et / ou mettre en place des changements en fonction des attentes stratégiques de la formation. 
Engagement, rétention et fidélisation :
-Responsable d’organiser et déployer les activités de fidélisation des employés.
-Assurer la communication et la collaboration auprès des équipes en support aux gestionnaires.
-Supporter la gestion des dossiers d’invalidités et d’absences reliées ou non au travail selon les lois en vigueur dans la province. Appuyer l’entreprise dans l’élaboration de plans de retour au travail selon les restrictions et la déclaration des blessures ou des maladies.
-Superviser le processus de fin d’emploi, incluant les entrevues de départ et en ressortir des analyses et des tendances.
-Mise en place de programme de développement des compétences internes. (Mentorat, mobilité interne et évaluations 360)  
Efficacité organisationnelle et RH
-Intervenir en tant que partenaire RH auprès des différentes divisions et collaborer avec les équipes RH sur les meilleures pratiques. (US et Canada)
-Construire des relations de confiances avec les gestionnaires et participer aux différentes réunions d’équipe hebdomadaires en fournissant des conseils en matière de RH et d’affaires.
-Mettre en place des mesures correctives visant à améliorer la gestion du rendement et l’assiduité, en partenariat avec la direction, tout en offrant un encadrement continu.
-Participer aux projets Six Sigma, aux audits internes et à l’amélioration continue du service RH.
