Clearview Public SchoolsRequires aInclusive Services Lead TeacherStettler Elementary School (SES) is a dynamic Pre-K to Grade 6 school with approximately 600 students located in Stettler, Alberta. Applications are being accepted for a full-time, Inclusive Services Lead Teacher position beginning August 27, 2024. This position will qualify for the Department Head administrative allowance as per the ATA Collective Agreement. Specifically, we are seeking an exceptional leader who possesses: A record of fostering collaborative team relationships with school staff as well as community agencies to support the learning needs of students; An adept communicator with a keen ability to engage and collaborate with parents, skillful at fostering open dialogue, resolving concerns, and building strong relationships; A strong commitment to the ongoing critical reflection of researched-informed inclusive practices especially around positive behavior support practices, trauma-informed practices, Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), and specific supports of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), and other developmental disabilities as well as students with learning disabilities; A vision for building structures and strategies to enhance teaching and support staff in implementing inclusive learning environments with the specific skills and abilities to implement a variety of strategies to diffuse and support dysregulated students in the moment and assist staff in developing these skills and respond effectively to these situations; and A history and a reputation of being a determined and thoughtful instructional leader that ensures staff have access to resources, programs, and expertise in meeting their professional responsibilities and addressing the learning needs of all students.The Inclusive Services Lead Teacher is a member of the SES leadership team responsible for: Overseeing the Inclusive Services program in Stettler Elementary School including the coordination of educational assistants; Assisting and providing teachers with interventions and strategies for supporting students; Administrating Level B Assessments as well as assisting staff in the interpretation and implementation of all assessments; Supporting teachers in writing student Individualized Program Plans and Behaviour Support Plans and ensure that these documents are consistent with divisional and provincial guidelines and policies; Providing in-school coaching and modeling of strategies to teachers and educational assistants; Working collaboratively with division staff and other specialists to coordinate required information and services for students; and Working closely and collaboratively with the school administration team to ensure cohesive practices throughout the school.The ideal candidate will possess or be working towards a Masters’ Degree, preferably in Inclusive Education and/or have experience as a School Administrator; however, these are not requirements.
