An exciting intern opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Calgary office beginning May 2024 for an approximate 8 or 12-month term. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Cash Management on the Treasury team that is open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete.
What you will do:
- Reconcile daily cash balances and monitor intra-day cash balances
- Process payments for foreign exchange deals, intercompany cash flows, and daily cash sweeps
- Contribute to cash flow forecasting and modeling
- Perform variance analysis on weekly cash flows
- Report on monthly regional cash & debt balances and credit capacity
- Design or re-design models to consolidate data to improve efficiency and leverage automation
What you will bring:
- Currently enrolled in a university degree or diploma program, preference for Business, Math, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- Critical thinker, attentive to detail with an interest in finance and investment
- Strong Excel, and/or data analysis, skills, and experience
- Familiarity with Power BI and/or computer programming is an asset
- Competence in standard Microsoft Office software (PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
