MAIN PURPOSE
In line with the Maison global agenda, the Internal Communication (IC) Director is responsible for developing and maintaining a positive corporate brand image internally in Mainland China.
He/She develops and implements communication strategies that support the company's long-term transformation.
He/She supports and raises leadership professionalism in IC and fosters collaboration and reconnection with Central teams.
He/She raises employee engagement and sense of belonging by regular information and update on Cartier vision & ambition as well as global and local agendas.
He/She plays a critical role in building a culture of trust, respect and open-mindedness within the organization, fostering collaboration, diversity and inclusivity, and placing authenticity and care at the core of all actions and messages.
He/She supports and contributes to Corporate Communication projects to raise awareness and engagement both internally and externally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Internal communication strategy
- Work closely with key stakeholders (CAR China executive leadership, Department Heads, HR, RCCL, work life committee…) to identify communication needs
- Define Cartier China Internal Communication plan according to the business & employee strategy and priorities, and in line with the Maison Global agenda
- Lead the execution of Internal Communication action plans in a timely manner, ensuring quality and consistency of messages and events
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies
- Provide ideas & recommendations to Cartier China leadership on IC approaches
- Communication production and distribution
- Draft the annual local editorial calendar, leveraging all information resources (international events, Corporate initiatives, marketing and commercial events,...) and contribute to the production of internal editorial content, with appropriate stance and tone
- Manage the company's Internal Communication channels, including intranet, internal social network (Viva), and other platforms
- Select effective communication channels and distribute content
- Organize internal events (townhalls/One Team meetings, President Live, internal conferences, management seminars, etc.) with a creative and innovative eye, and looking for excellent quality and image
- Support Cartier China leadership team in developing presentations, speeches, and other corporate messages; assist Maison spokespersons in media training / public speaking ; encourage speaking opportunities for Cartier China executive leadership internally
- Employee engagement
- Ensure Central and local employees are regularly and timely updated on China LIFT project, ensuring Maison direction and project roadmaps are well understood
- Ensure staff questions are answered in a timely way to keep high level of engagement whilst protecting projects's confidentiality
- Track & report on employee engagement via quantitative and qualitative feedback loops; analyze an advise on any negative feedback / adjustments needed
- Participate in crisis management
- Collaboration & Reconnection
- Develop relationships with all IC stakeholders and teams, and work in close collaboration with Central teams (IC and Corporate Communication)
- Liaise with Cartier IC community to share and learn from best practices
- Foster a culture of open communication within the organization, encouraging dialogue and feedback with an inclusive spirit, and creating opportunities for employees to share their thoughts and ideas
- Contribute to nurturing a positive image for Cartier China internationally, promoting local initiatives & lifestyle, and fostering “reconnection” between Central and local teams
COMPETENCIES
- Master's degree in Communications or related programs, with 10 years’ experience in Communications or related field
- Strong communication skills (incl. writing, editing, presentations) and master in multimedia content creation
- Experienced in Digital tools, Internal Communication channels and platforms, and interested in innovative means of communication
- At ease with matrix organizations ; familiar with transformation context
- Good listener, creative, able to adapt to a variety of audiences
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Mandarin & English fluent (oral & written)
- Proactive and autonomous
- Strong team spirit
