Job Description:
Burnbrae Farms Limited - We have an immediate requirement for an IT Technical Support Specialist (Co-op Internship). As an active member of the IT team, you will be playing a crucial role in supporting several software applications as well as providing assistance to users. You will be required to work with end-users collaboratively during implementation of new systems and technologies. This position is located in Lyn, Ontario and requires some after-hours support and travelling to remote sites under the supervision of a senior department member. This position offers a unique opportunity with Burnbrae Farms IT department. We are looking for an individual that is driven, self motivating, and available to work on-site 5 days a week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide End-user with Hardware/Software application support in person/remotely
- o Resolve day-to-day IT issues through IT ticketing systemo Manage, classify, and assign IT tickets and escalate to appropriate IT staffo Set up new laptops, desktops, printers, tablets, cellphone, etc. for new hires/staff and provide primary “New-Hire” orientation of information systemso Perform hardware and software installations, configurations and maintenanceo Analyze and resolve technical issues with laptops, desktops, printers, tablets, cellphones, and other IT digital assets
- Perform administrative tasks
o User administrationo Security Access Card administrationo Company cellphones administrationo Systems Health checks
- Knowledge Base Documentation
o Contribute and maintain technical KB articles to ensure custom modifications, and procedures involved with the maintenance of endpoint equipment is properly documentedo Create, review, and contribute to the end user knowledge base articles to ensure frequently asked questions are properly documentedTechnical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
- Exposure to Microsoft Intune as a software deployment tool
- Exposure to Access control systems
- Knowing French language is an asset
- Knowledge of Multi-factor authentication is an asset
- Knowledge of ClearPass is an asset
- Experience working with clients remotely over Teams/phone/computers is an asset
- Experience with First Level Support and trouble shooting laptops/cellphones and printers is an asset

Education Requirements:
Undergraduate Student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related subject that are in their 3rd to 4th year of study. Must be eligible for a Co-op term of 8 Months.
