Working together to provide outstanding integrated health care to our communities delivering best patient outcomes with exemplary standards and compassion, Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) is a multi-site organization that includes Huntsville District Memorial Hospital Site and South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Site.

ROLE

As an IT Support Specialist at Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) you will;

  • Ensure security and availability of organization's information, IT infrastructure, and IT assets.
  • Level 1 support for network, desktop computing, and telephony issues.
  • Level 1 support for application and system issues.
  • Level 1 support to end user (training and advice).
  • Enrolment and termination of user accounts within applications, systems and provincial entities.
  • Desktop computer and network cable moves, adds, changes.
    • Manage support requests to insure compliance with service level agreements.
    • Coordination and escalation to third party support entities

REQUIRED EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION(S)

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience and training.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE(S)

  • Minimum of 2 years experience providing level 1 IT support.

DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE(S) & EDUCATION

  • ITIL Foundation Certified.
  • CompTIA A+ certification.
  • Microsoft Office Specialist Certification.

Union: Non-Union

Location: Multi site, working at both the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital located in Bracebridge and the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) located in Huntsville

Department: Information Technology

Hours of Work: Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements.


As a condition of employment, external hires are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the Hospital’s Occupational Health and Safety department.
