Pacific Energy Fireplace Products Ltd. (PEFP) is searching for an Information Technology Manager who will be responsible for various Information Technology activities in a multi-faceted role in a medium sized manufacturing business. As IT manager, this individual must ensure that system requirements are adequate for frequent overseas teleconferencing, data integrity and various other activities related to a global business. This role provides expert IT system support services across the organization and is responsible for infrastructure design and SAP support and sequel programming. The IT Manager will assist with IT project management, resource management, hardware sourcing and installation, and communicating with all users of PEFP technology infrastructure. This IT Manager will also assist with identifying, selecting and deploying new technology to support organizational goals and objectives. As well, facilitate PEFP use of computer hardware, software, networks and related technology to achieve effective solutions. The IT Manager responds to problems, performs preventive maintenance and monitors warranties and is responsible for data security and maintaining and controlling user passwords and file structures for the organization.

Duties
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures
- Manage and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls
- Ensure the security of the organization's data and systems through regular monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and disaster recovery planning
- Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Manage the organization's help desk function, ensuring timely resolution of user issues
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement technology solutions that meet business needs
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
- Experience with Windows Server administration and Active Directory management
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMWare or Hyper-V
- Knowledge of information security best practices and experience implementing security measures
- Experience managing help desk operations and providing end-user support
- Familiarity with application development processes and methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
