RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing prompt, professional, and courteous service by answering incoming phone calls, e-mails, and text requests and providing desk-side & remote support for IT and technology related issues.
- Overseeing IT equipment asset management, including deployment, collection, and storage (laptops, desktops, mobile devices, phones, printers & other IT equipment).
- Performing the installation, configuration and routine maintenance of software and computer systems as required.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with software or hardware, including network configurations, software and hardware troubleshooting, and coordinate with appropriate external vendors when necessary.
- Communicate with colleagues to provide updates in a timely manner, walking them through steps to help them resolve their technical problems.
- Track issues to detect underlying trends and document troubleshooting steps and solutions to create a knowledge base for future reference.
- Provide the orientation of new employees in appropriate IT procedures and helping them get started with applicable systems.
- Participate in business meetings to provide insight into technical requirements and support the implementation of new solutions or applications, as requested.
- Gain an understanding of business applications so you can provide value added support.
- A willingness to provide after hours and weekend support, and to travel to various construction and office sites, as may be required to meet project demands.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree or Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology with 2-4 years of work experience in an IT support role or equivalent experience.
- Thorough knowledge of internet protocol and networking principles.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft 365 systems including Teams, Office 365 and OneDrive.
- Solid understanding of IT hardware including PCs, switches, routers, printers, and mobile devices
- Experience supporting desktop operating systems and applications (i.e. Windows, Office, SharePoint, UKG, Spectrum)
- Support of corporate applications unique to departments i.e. Purchasing, Properties, Operations, Finance systems.
- Knowledge of security principles and technologies (firewalls, antivirus, EDR tools).
- Strong written and spoken communication skills with a focus on building understanding through active listening.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to identify root-causes and trends.
JOB TYPE: FULL-TIME, PERMANENT
Salary: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
