It Systems Analyst

Role Summary

Under the direction of the IT Manager, responsible for ensuring that MES related services and procedures are implemented, maintained, and properly executed.
This role must have a good understanding of production processes, IT infrastructure as well as a close collaboration with other departments. Able to propose and develop applications, reporting dashboards to advance the business.

Shift

This position is for the afternoon shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer 1st Level support for all MES processes, PC, printer and other IT related issues.
• Develop and maintain MES training materials, train and support users.
• Troubleshoot MES-related issues alongside Controls, Production, Quality and any other departments.
• System monitoring (business processes, interfaces and solutions).
• Maintain and update the Know-how database.
• Implement and support reporting dashboards as required thru Solidat reporting, PowerBI, or SQL reporting services.
• Should be familiar with PowerApps, Power BI and Power Automate for application development.
• Application and data integration from various sources like MS SQL, Azure etc.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment with constantly changing demands.
• Other duties as assigned by a supervisor or Manager
• Maintaining and operating service desk ticketing system.
• Employ best practices using ITIL foundational requirements.
• Must comply with all ISO 14001 (Environmental) and OHSAS 18001 (Health and Safety) systems and standards as it pertains to their work.
• Adhere to the IATF16949 Standard as required.
• Abide by all AODA and C-TPAT procedures that apply to their position.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum of a Post-Secondary Education in a Computer Science or Computer Programming/Analyst Program
• Preferred 1-3 years' experience in Information Systems with a strong manufacturing background, preferably in automotive parts industry.
• Experience with MES standards and MES software preferred.
• Good knowledge of relational Databases (SQL Server, TSQL) required
• Good knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Microsoft Server, .NET, C#) required.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, problem solving & interpersonal skills.
• Ability and willingness to quickly learn on the job.
• Works well alone and while managing groups.
• Ability to work flexible hours when required.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• ITIL v2 certificate an asset
• Able to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and multitask an asset
