Lab Technician

Excel Health Medical Clinic is an innovative medical clinic located in Calgary, Alberta. We are looking for a full-time, reliable Lab Technician to operate Excel Health Phlebotomy Clinic and care for patients professionally and respectfully.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performing Blood draws.
• Sorting, allocating, and delivering specimens to work stations and loading onto laboratory instruments, as required
• Participating in basic quality control procedures and inventory management
• Maintaining good record-keeping practices while adhering to quality and safety programs
• Maintaining accuracy and calibration of laboratory testing equipment
• Performing routine inspections on laboratory equipment to determine when maintenance is required
• Using relevant computer software programs to collect or input data and information

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years working in a medical environment.
• Clinic based: 1 year (Preferred)

• Monday to Friday 9-5
• Week-end as required.

Salary: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
