This position reports to the QC Manager and as a minimum requirement will be responsible for performing lab tests for incoming, in process and outgoing products.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities: (includes, but not limited to)
- Knowledgeable of testing methods, usage of radius and recording test results in lab worksheets
- Maintaining effective functioning of lab equipment including calibration
- Maintaining records of inspections, samples, technical data sheets and SDS
- Controlling of reject raw material
- Controlling of nonconforming products
- Act as Back up and providing support to other Lab Technicians as necessary
- Carry out any other specialized functions as required by the QC Manager
- Ensure external customer satisfaction
- Preventing shipment of off specification finished goods to customer
- Maintaining customer specifications and needs
- Ensure internal customer satisfaction
- Providing support to operations, production control, customer service and sales
- Implementation of Continuous improvement initiatives
- Foster continuous improvement initiatives for all associates within the quality control function
- This position will be required to support and jump in for any absences with our continental lab techs, should we need them to
- Must be able to work a continental shift schedule - Rotation is 2 weeks on days, 2 weeks on nights.
