What You’ll Do
- Maintain and organize files including opening and closing
- Perform corporate and due diligence searches
- Gather necessary information, draft memorandums and update records
- Draft and distribute various correspondence
- Manage intake of documents and file-related materials and update binders
- Maintain calendars including scheduling meetings, examinations, trials and hearings
- Perform client intakes including reviewing agreements and document packages
- Other administrative duties as needed
What You Bring
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as an LAA
- Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate from an accredited post-secondary education is required
- Strong computer proficiency including experience with MS Word and Outlook, and working knowledge of BC Online and myLTSA
- Great organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Fantastic time management skills for juggling competing priorities in a high-volume and fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
