What You’ll Do
- Assist with complex business acquisitions and divestitures (share, asset and hybrid transactions)
- Assist with simple to complex Commercial Lending/borrowing files
- Draft and review various documents and correspondence including contracts, agreements and leases
- Prepare transaction closing documents
- Manage files and closings for various transactions including preparing reports and invoices
- Manage lawyer calendars including scheduling meetings and coordinating workflow
- Other ad hoc duties as needed
What You Bring
- Minimum 8 years of legal experience with a focus on corporate-commercial and Commercial Lending
- Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate from an accredited post-secondary education is required
- Familiarity with LTO and PPR documents, registrations and procedures
- Keen sense of initiative
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Organized with the ability to juggle competing priorities in a high volume, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Great attention to detail
