Legislative Services Assistant
The Town of Golden is looking for a Legislative Services Assistant join our dedicated, hardworking, and fun-loving Corporate Services team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Services, the Legislative Services Assistant plays a key role in the ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of the Town’s records management program and provides essential legislative and administrative support to the Corporate Services Department. Your primary role will include coordinating day-to-day records management activities, including records projects and training and working closely with departments to ensure compliance with recordkeeping policies and procedures; development and implementation of corporate-wide content management systems and workflows; development, creation and maintenance of records management policies and procedure manuals and corporate policy manuals.

Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate is dedicated to delivering customer and public service excellence and understands the importance of records management. The key duties of this position require exceptional organizational and accuracy skills in combination with an ability to manage multiple tasks while adhering to legislative deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of post-secondary education in business, office administration or equivalent.
- Two years of recent experience in an administrative support role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe (PDFs).
- Basic knowledge of local government associated legislation and records management programs.
- Considerable knowledge of administrative practices, procedures, and standard protocol.
This position is within the CUPE Local 2309 bargaining unit.
Wage range: $28.95-$34.52/hr based on a 35-hour work week with flex time provisions (job description and wage rate are subject to final ratification).
