Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency and quality
- Ensure that food is stored properly and meets food safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the team to develop new menu items and specials
Skills:
- Previous experience in the food service industry or as a Line Cook/Prep cook is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely preparation of meals
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with coworkers
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant
