We are looking for a Manager, Finance - Investment we will play a key role in supporting our growth.
Location: Montreal (2020 Robert-Bourassa)
About the role
Our candidate will be responsible for supporting the activities of the investment teams, delivering all financial information related to investments including external and internal reports, preparation of ad hoc analyzes for senior management as well as project supervision( regulatory or continuous improvement).
Leading a team of accountants, our candidate will participate in month-end, quarter-end and year-end processes, will ensure robustness of internal controls and will play an active role in the transformation, centralization of the financial reporting delivered on our investments across the world.
Recurring scope
- Responsible of the financial close process including system feeds, controls, and the review of the results occurs in a timely basis and with the highest level of quality.
- Responsible of all investments related internal reporting.
- Coordinate the work with external auditors.
- Responsible of the implementation of any new or changed accounting standards and/or any significant transaction.
- Collaborate with other Finances Team (FP&A, accounting research) for the integration of our investments results in the global reporting
Participation in project activities
- Continually aim for improvement, automation and integration of reporting on our investments
- Influence outcome of special projects impacting reinsurance team.
Skills:
- CPA designation, an asset
- Audit experience in an audit firm, an asset
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and 5 years as a manager.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Leadership skills, team player, independent and efficient
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to persuade, influence and motivate from a wide variety of functional background.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bilingualism (French / English) –Need to interact on a regular basis with an English-speaking clientele and colleagues across the country.
