Job Responsibilities
- Plans, drafts, and lead execution of all regional communication in partnership with the VP, Marketing
- Leads Employer Brand Marketing in partnership with VP, Marketing and Human Resources to support both local and National initiatives to drive external talent pipeline and attract talent, including idea generation on leveraging our internal associates as Brand Ambassadors
- Partners with Human Resources and National marketing team on Great Place to Work and related industry and corporate employer designations
- Executes internal communications for promotions, structure changes and other associate related engagement communications in partnership with Human Resources
- Partners with the North Region Market teams to support internal communication efforts including development of templates, creation of newsletters, associate engagement and recognition initiatives , etc.
- Develops internal marketing plans to support internal services, programs and/or departments and partners with key stakeholders for execution
- Is the Canadian liaison for company wide internal communications
Change Communications
- Develops communication plans and drafts ongoing communications tied to organizational changes, new projects and active acquisitions/integrations in partnership with Human Resources and the Regional Project Management Office
- In partnership with the VP of Marketing, develops ongoing communication plans for integrations (of new acquisitions) and leads execution
- Plans and leads execution for acquisition/integration events including key integration celebrations
- Leads planning and execution for acquired office décor updates in partnership with the Creative Services Manager
Intranet
- Develops and executes an internal marketing plan for the launch of the North Region intranet in partnership with key market stakeholders (both regional and market sites)
- Responsible for developing and maintaining the North Region content calendar for the Intranet (for regional site) and leads execution of marketing, branding and social purpose updates
- Liaises with regional department stakeholders to ensure the regional site is maintained and kept up to date
- Develops an ongoing internal marketing campaign to promote the intranet across the North Region
- Responsible for facilitating quarterly meetings with market intranet owners to facilitate best practice and idea sharing, any technical updates and other key information
Social Purpose
- Leads social purpose planning for the North Region including all regional initiatives; represents the North Region for corporate wide social purpose initiatives
- Leads development of an activation kit for a key social purpose pillar working in partnership with key market stakeholders; presents activation kit to the corporate social purpose team for use company wide
- Implements and oversees the North Region Social Purpose Committee; responsible for keeping the committee up to date on social pillar kits and resources, establishing cadence of meetings to share ideas, best practices and resources plus regional updates
- Creates templates or resources for the North Region markets to use as needed
- Compiles ongoing social purpose updates of social purpose activations that happen in all North Region markets
- Represents the North Region on the FirstService Corporate Social Purpose committee
Associate Engagement
- Takes the lead on all regional recognition programs
- Leads the Values@Work program for the North Region
- Partners with HR, Region President and market stakeholders on service awards, Presidents Awards, retirements, other recognition programs
- Develops internal communication plans to promote company wide recognition programs
- Initiates ideas and creative solutions to drive associate engagement in local markets
- Assists the local North Region markets as needed for their local associate engagement and recognition programs or other associate related activities
- In partnership with North Region leadership team, plans associate engagement activities for the North Regional office/team

- Effective presentation skills and experience with internal marketing including associate directed presentations
- Strong influencing skills and proven experience sharing plans and ideas with senior leadership
- Ability to work cross-departmentally and adapt well to change
- Confident in producing work used across multiple platforms
- Detail oriented and strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously an asset
- Ability to work with sensitive or confidential information
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently; is self-motivated and self-directed
- Tech savvy; demonstrated experience using intranet platforms
- Knowledge of and/or experience using InDesign, Photoshop and Canva a plus
Travel
Potential travel to market offices.
