Marketing & Communications Specialsit

Midwest Co-op is currently accepting resumes for the position of MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST at our Head Office located in Teeswater. Under direction of the General Manager, the Communications & Marketing Specialist co-ordinates and supports innovative communication, advertising, and marketing initiatives for the company. This would include print and radio media, the website, as well as meetings, shows, displays where the members, customers, and staff of MCS interact.

SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP

• Provides leadership in all communication and marketing initiatives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Co-ordinates print, social media and radio advertising under direction of the management team within budgeted guidelines. Seeks required approval for new initiatives.
• Ensures website is complete, current, and reviewed on a regular basis for content, updates and improvements.
• Co-ordinates production of company newsletters
• Supports internal marketing and communications, including price lists, reports, manuals, forms, templates, signage and price tag / bin label production.
• Understands and follows all Corporate, Legislative and Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
• Makes suggestions and provides input to the management team to improve communication and marketing effectiveness.
• Assist in all departments as required.
• Maintains proper personal image and care of company assets.
• Working as part of the MCS team, ensures that company objectives, customer service levels, employee relations and inter-branch relations are improved and promoted.
