Canadian retailer since 1979, Barbecues Galore has a great growth opportunity for a Marketing Specialist.

Full-time position, working standard office hours, from either our Calgary, Alberta, or Burlington, Ontario office Monday through Friday. . Weekend work may be needed sometimes for tradeshow support and event deadlines. The position reports to the Director of Marketing.

Salary & bonus package are commensurate with experience. Preference will be given to applicants living close to Calgary, Alberta, or Burlington, Ontario, and having 3-5 years of marketing experience.

The role includes:

· Creating digital assets for use in email newsletters.

· Content generation – videos/reels/TikTok’s, photos, and writing articles/blogs for social media, newsletters, and websites. Use the 2024 recipe plan and format content.

· Social Media postings – 2/3 per day. Plus responding to engagements.

· Build promotion concepts and design signage for sales promotions.

· Update websites daily to improve SEO, adjust product/price offerings, and highlight promotions.

· Manage our 5 Google store sites with updated photos & keep holiday/regular hours accurate.

· Coordinate 3rd-party paid ads and oversee Ad creation for Facebook, Instagram, and Google.

· Upkeep of files/folders and photo organization.

· Participate in daily Zoom meetings.

· Track and update project status reporting weekly.

· Coordinate onsite demo events with vendor reps as needed.

· Manage content for in-store e-Display TVs.

· Be an active and open member of the team. "Great Marketing is never done in a bubble, we collaborate, create, innovate, and communicate daily."

The successful candidate has the legal ability to work in Canada and a keen passion for food, grilling, creativity, and drive to get projects done on time.
