Position Title:Marketing Specialist
Reports To:Manager, Marketing
Department: Individual Product Development and Marketing
Term: Permanent Full-Time
Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.
The Opportunity:This role focuses on creatively developing marketing and communications for Individual insurance, including brochures, guides, flyers, banners, presentations, promotions, newsletters, eblasts with easy to understand, plain language. In this role you would also create content and update the Individual Insurance websites.
What you will be doing:
- Develop and maintain creative marketing materials for advisor and client audiences including brochures, guides, flyers, and presentations
- Produce creative content for our website and other digital properties.
- Recommend marketing plans and campaigns for new and enhanced product launches
- Write and develop promotional content
- Create and maintain training material and presentations on products and sales concepts to facilitate the training of sales staff and external advisors
- Establish schedules and budgets for marketing campaigns and launches
- Work with the Graphics Services department on the production of marketing materials
- Work closely with Corporate Communications team to ensure Individual product communication and marketing adheres to brand standards
What you will bring:
- Three to five years of financial services industry experience, particularly in the marketing of Insurance products
- Post secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Experience maintaining websites and social media accounts, and using analytics to help measure success
- Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Ability to collaborate with other product experts, compliance, legal, designers and suppliers as well as various levels of management
- Proven creativity through written and visual representation
- Demonstrated success in marketing communications
- Ability to work well under deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Prior experience working with creative designers, and knowledgeable about design principles is an asset
- Bilingual, spoken and written (French and English) considered an asset
