Mechanical Designer/Drafter

Allied Centrifuge Technologies is a Canadian owned and operated manufacturer of centrifugal separation equipment. Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, we provide manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering support to customers in various industries around the world.

We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Mechanical Designer/Drafter to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for mechanical design and a desire to contribute to the success of a dynamic organization.

Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with the engineering team to develop detailed and accurate 3D CAD models

· Create clear and concise drawings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications.

· Apply knowledge of common measurement techniques to ensure precision in design and drafting processes.

· Demonstrate a basic understanding of welding, machining, and other mechanical work to support the design process.

· Maintain a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

· 2 years working experience creating parts, assemblies and drawings in Solidworks CAD

· Basic understanding of machining, welding, and common measurement techniques

· Good attitude and ability to work well within a team.

· Willingness to learn and grow professionally.

· Ability to create clear and concise drawings

Considered an asset:

· Hands on experience in mechanical assembly, machining, welding, electrical

· Ability to use 2D CAD to create hydraulic and electrical schematics

· Prior experience in manufacturing facility or repair center

· Prior experience in centrifuges or other rotating equipment
