Medical Assistant

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support in both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our medical facility.

Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare professionals in examining and treating patients.
• Take detailed medical histories and record vital signs accurately.
• Prepare patients for medical examinations and procedures.
• Perform basic medical screening tests such as checking blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
• Assist physicians during medical procedures as needed.
• Administer medications under the direction of healthcare providers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment.
• Handle administrative tasks including scheduling patient appointments for tests and procedures.
• Manage incoming and outgoing communications such as faxing medical documents and responding to patient inquiries.
• Ensure accurate and timely filing of medical records and patient information.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
• Adhere to all healthcare regulations and protocols.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; certification or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Medical background is REQUIRED*
• IMG's will be considered for this position as well.
• Proven experience working in a medical facility or similar healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of medical procedures.
• PROFICIENCY IN ENGLISH IS REQUIRED*
• Proficiency in other languages in not required but favored.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
• CPR certification may be required.

PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE A PROBATION PERIOD OF 3 MONTHS, AS WELL AS UNPAID TRAINING THAT WILL BE 2-3 WEEKS.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $16.77-$18.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
