Job purpose
- To check in all patients, verify demographics, booking and confirming patient appointments as requested, take payments for private testing, and to answer phones and faxes for a busy Cardiology Diagnostics Clinic.
Duties and responsibilities
- Check in all patients, Verifying Alberta Health Care number and all demographics.
- Receive, attach and book all requisitions in our EMR as they come by fax/phone.
- Book all in clinic testing when required for patients having consultations with our physicians.
- Answer phones and manage all patient concerns or questions.
- Process all payments for Out of Country/Third party procedures.
- Scan and attach patient forms.
- Able to perform Vitals and ECGs an asset
Qualifications
Qualifications include:
- Office Assistant Diploma/ Medical Office Assistant Diploma
- Medical Terminology
- Advanced Computer skills
- Ability to multi task in a very busy environment, work under pressure of deadlines
- Approachable, Friendly, Solution Oriented
- Customer Service background
- Previous Clinic Experience considered an asset but not required
Working conditions
Extensive desk and computer work.
Physical requirements
Large portion of desk and phone work. Repetitive movements with both.

Salary: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
