Medical Office Asistant/Receptionist Position
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team at Sunalta Medical Clinic.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Medical Office. Your responsibilities will include administrative tasks, patient scheduling, and providing excellent customer service. If you have experience in a dental or Medical Office setting and possess strong organizational and communication skills, we encourage you to apply. Training would start as early as March 18, 2024, or March 25, 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members - Returning voicemail and email correspondence. - Assessing priority booking
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Collect patient information and update electronic medical records using Telus Health Med-Access software
- Assist with insurance forms, and 3rd party billing
- Handle patient inquiries, provide information about services, and address concerns - - Virtual booking and communication with the RN for these appointments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
- Assist with various administrative tasks as needed - assisting with putting patients in rooms when needed
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a dental or Medical Office setting is preferred
- Familiarity with dental or medical terminology is a plus
- Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Med-Access software is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
