Medical Office Assistant

This is a posting for a Medical Office Assistant (MOA) position for a busy, single practitioner Medical Office based in the St. Albert/Edmonton area. We are looking for a strong, highly motivated, organized and diligent individual for long-term retention. Our office is located in St. Albert.

Please only apply if you have an MOA certification.

Hours will generally be in the range of 0800-1600. Parking is included. The dress code is professional.

The successful applicant will be placed into a 6-month probationary period, after which a full time position will be offered if both the candidate and employer choose to continue the employment. Benefits will be offered including dental and prescription medicine. An end-of-year bonus depending on performance will be offered each year. The salary will have the potential to be increased based on performance and length of employment with the employer.

Duties include the following:

• Chart and requisition preparation and maintenance
• Lab result reconciliation
• Communication with other healthcare facilities including sending faxes
• IPC compliance
• Answering patient phone calls
• Booking patients for appointments

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $21.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
